Understanding your working style and behaviours using TMI
The Team management profile (TMP, formerly known as TMI) is a popular tool used in the workplace for both organisations and individuals. It provides insights into:
- how you prefer to work
- how you are likely to interact with others in the workplace
- roles within the Team Management Wheel that are of appeal to you
- probable areas of strengths at work and within the team
- a better understanding of how to maximize your potential and work with others
In this workshop, you will gain an understanding the 8 different roles that people like to adopt when working in a team and the functions teams must do to be successful. This will also include:
- Overview of the team and where they are spread around the wheel
- Possible strengths and weaknesses as a team
- Identifying gaps and areas for development
- Discovering the importance of pacing
- Relating to colleagues and managers across the organisation
- Using TMP, how can the team be more effective as individuals and as a team
Pre-work
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire which will take 20 – 40 minutes. The result of this is a report which will be given to you at the workshop. There are no right or wrong answers and no assumed “right” way to be.

Cynthia is an executive coach, consultant and presenter. She has had 20+ years working with government agencies, corporates, not-for-profits and individual clients. She is highly experienced in working with individuals and teams who are seeking guidance with their careers and other life changes including retirement planning and change. She has expertise and sensitivity in understanding the needs of people and identifying strategies and tools to assist them. Cynthia holds a BA, a Graduate Diploma in Adult and Tertiary Education and an Advanced Diploma in Business (Management). She is accredited in a range of well-known assessment tools.
