Evaluation of training and development programmes
We conduct needs analysis for, and evaluation of, training and development programmes and courses. Undertaking a training needs analysis is important to:
- Investigate whether the organisation is getting value for its expenditure in this area
- Investigate the return on investment
- Identify and confirm the relevance of the training and development
- Facilitate a process to understand the real training needs of an organisation and identify, in conjunction with the organisation’s strategy, an appropriate development programme to meet this.
Our evaluation of training and development programmes involves evaluating comments from past programmes and gaining feedback from users, trainers and coaches. We aim to gain an understanding of the relevance and content to ensure the programmes:
- Deliver outcomes that are required
- Contain appropriate structure to assist self-assessment and learning
- Contain content that provides relevant individual and collective development
- Can provide measurable outcomes for participants and confirmation that learning has occurred
- Result in a more focused and targeted training that meets the real needs of staff and the organisation
